Designing Organic Molecule Sensors for Water Contaminant Detection

Abstract:

We have come across so many research papers that show the utilization of organic molecules for sensing various hazardous contaminants present in water entities. However, how many of us truly understand the process of designing and developing these sensors to reach a stage where they can detect specific contaminants amidst a myriad of other pollutants, and do so with high sensitivity? There are a lot of distinct aspects that must be kept in mind while designing the architecture of the molecule for selective detection of any particular substance.
